Talk to your own Health Insurance Company that your Company is Providing and ask for a quote.Even better is through your HR.Ask them to contact the company for adding your Wife. It shouldn't be too difficult i guess.

Thank you all for your response.
The reason for my opening a new thread is to get attention from other members to get my question answered. I did not want to bury my question in to those lengthy threads, and the chance of getting such question answered is highly improbable. OK now to my additional questions on this subject.
Questions:
1. Did you guys receive all the receipts (yours and dependents) together in a single postal mail?
2. If that is the case then in my situation should I safely assume my wife's application was rejected?
Please respond I have only 5 days to re-submit a new application for my wife. If I miss it then our whole GC dream will become a nightmare:(

don't be pessimists...this baloon has been blown a lot bigger than what it really is. there have been some crazy estimates that the number of application that would reach USCIS are anywhere from 100k to 700K or something...its a joke! the lawyer's websites would state anything to make you cringe at this whole process...
Remember this: nobody is going to give you a warm and fuzzy feeling about the dream of getting a green card in short duration...you just have to learn to be pleased by what has been accomplished this month and hope to expect similar good things happening along the way in the future. just keep on doing action items from IV, continue contributing and expect that they will decide to use the last few years' ROW visa to clear the backlog...Cheers!

Though this may be off topic, it is related to travel and NIV.
I booked tickets for my inlaws travelling on a tourist visa in Jet Airways - Chennai to JFK with layover in Brussels.
Now, when I ask people everyone say they travel by Lufthansa, Air India, Emirates etc... but I have not found anyone who has travelled by Jet Airways.
Just wanted to know if anyone has travelled via Jet Airways and their experience at the Brussels Airport, if it was smooth. My Inlaws do not speak English and this is the first time they are travelling.

Yes she can work on EAD and obviously then her H4 goes to invalid status.And you can be on H1-B..

Got notification from lawyer that my RIR for LC got rejected. It is pending in Phily BEC with a PD of Oct 2003.

ask for more info . there must be a reason for the rejection. you can also contest the decision by filing a motion.without complete information it is difficult to advice. do not worry, there is always a solution to every problem.

The sorting for priority date is not working right.
For e.g. it is first displaying Apr-00, then all Apr-01, then Apr-02 and so on. Then it displays Aug-00, then Aug-01 and so on.
It is doing alphabetical sorting.
It needs to sort by date or the month-year combination.
Its getting better!

Isn't recapturing of H1-B when you are trying to determine if you have used up your 6 year limit.
In this case, he is trying to get out of H1 and get back in. At this time he will be considered on the yearly cap.

Some in this situation are planning to do the full time MBA from the IIMs / ISB under NRI quota
I am not sure how useful doing an MBA from an Indian school would be if one is planning to get back to the U.S. (or the western world in general) I did mine from IIM Ahmedabad, and find it pretty much worthless here.

I have been full-time with big company for the past 9 years. Stuck with EB3. I need a serious input from you guys about joining in a new company and applying EB2. I probably get new employment with a small firm of size 100-150 employees. I have MS from USA in 2005. Is it good idea to join in new company or is it a worth waiting for EB3 dates. My PD is in 2003. What if you are in my situation? Please advise. Thanks.

Both my wife and I applied for our AOS together during the July fiasco. My wife received a RFE for another medical exam today. We both did our medical at the same time and were submitted with the AOS application but only my wife received the RFE for medical. I did receive another RFE but not for medical.
Why would she receive the RFE for medical? Does the medical exam also expire as the finger print does? If it does expire then why would only one of us receive the medical RFE and not the other?
1) Did you both get TB tested? The rules have changed. This is the most common cause for an RFE on medical exam.
2) Is she on any medication? Sometimes this requires a certificate from the prescribing physician. No big deal
Overall, there is probably no cause to worry about this. In fact, this could mean you are close to being approved. Same thing happened to me (see my history in my sig line).

You can only file a second LC for the same employee at the same company, if the new position is "substantially different" from the old position. [ I am happy to report, that I just received my PERM approval for doing exactly this :) ]
If your LC was filed via PERM and approved, you do not need to refile just because you lost the receipt. If you're filing an H1-B renewal, a screen shot / printout of the PERM app, showing the case #, is sufficient. If you're filing an I-140, there's a check box on the I-140 to indicate that USCIS should request a PERM approval receipt directly from DoL.

from what a friend told me very recently, if you've booked through lufthansa, 2 bags. But sometimes u may have booked thru another airline, in that case it maybe 1 bag.
eg. if ur going from dallas to mumbai, and flying AA to frankfurt and booked thru AA then it'll be 1 bag. but if ur flying lufthansa from dallas to frankfurt it'll be 2 bags. this is my understanding. Please don't hold me to it.

I have already started procedure for filing a new PERM. Nothing will work the lawyer said. We have to file a new PERM.

buy a return ticket . Cathay Pacific has tickets valid for a year. They have no change fees etc. so you can change the return date whenever you want.
