I am surprised so many PCs are sold as it is. I wonder if people are happy with them or they just sit in a drawer or closet somewhere.
Macs aren't the answer to everyone's needs. Apple only have a touch over 4% of the worldwide market so do you think the other 96% of customers are sitting there head in hand wishing they had a Mac?
Apple have targeted the highly profitable premium home market and now dominate it. They aren't interested in the low end or business market because they don't need a huge market share to do well and are prepared to let their competitors fight amongst themselves for those lower margin sales.

Lets say they opened at 7:30. I arrived at 6:45 and there were two people there. There were about 10 by 7:30. So not very big line, but then again I think they only received about two of each model/color, except no 64GB models.

Apple should bundle the ClickToFlash plug-in into Mobile Safari. It prevents flash from running unless you really want it to run. This should address, in part, Apple's stated reason for not allowing flash (battery drain and stability) as the user would only enable it for those parts of the web that they really want to see.
And, while they are at it, they should enable file uploads in Mobile Safari to upload photos and videos.
I hate only being able to use part of the internet on my iPhone when there is no technical reason I shouldn't be able to do both Flash on demand and file uploads.

The US pretty much has to do everything on their own, and then we take the heat for everything. Which is pretty much where american arrogance comes from. Sad but true.

The guys at Bungie have finally posted ALL of the playlist changes that are coming tomorrow (Oct. 5, 2010). Mostly just reorganizing of playlists and things like that, but some gametype adjustments as well. So, if you had something that was bugging you, check the list and see if it has been addressed. They've said that a more comprehensive update will be coming later in the month, but this should clean up much of the early quirks and problems. Here is the full list....

Your logic is flawed, kid. You need the right tools, BEFORE you can make money with them.
Learn the trade, not the tool and you won't have that problem, "kid". I didn't need a 1k$ compiler/profiling suite to learn programming and I certainly didn't need a 500k$ PA-RISC box with 20k$ worth of HP-UX licenses to learn Unix systems administration.
Yet these days I do both at a level that could earn me enough to buy that stuff (and I actually do the Unix stuff everyday professionally which does pay enough to buy that stuff, though I sometimes regret not going into the programming side).
Why you would need every last version of the entire CS suite to get into graphics and design quite eludes the mind.

Don't worry about the formatting, it's just a hard drive, they're all standard.
If it is an external, just plug it in, open /Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility, select the new drive from the list on the left, select the "Erase" tab at the top, and "erase" it as "Mac OS Extended (Journaled)"

But why would they state something like that and possibly limit their sales, when all they have to say is it can be formatted to whatever system you have?

They did show Costco the door and for a long time I did not see any Apple products at my local Costco. Recently, I saw iPod touches but there was a sign that the warranty is provided through Costco and not Apple as Costco is not an authorized dealer.

Well, I've been waiting on the new MBP since early January to no avail. I also need a new lens for my photography. Waiting for apple, I've missed out on some good shots. If there's nothing new tomorrow, I'm buying the lens and then apple can wait until August to get my cash. Meh.

The current 5MP camera on the iPhone is fantastic for such a small sensor. video recording at 720p is pretty crappy IMO. They need a better quality lens and Sony offers that opportunity.
The single most important factor that determines the quality of a lens is the size. There are some camera phones that have a huge lens on the back that the back is not flat. The reason is the bigger lens will let more light shine on the sensor pixels.

They SOUND like they play the same thing, I can assure you they don't. Take one of those songs and listen to it in Mono and you'll be able to tell the difference most of the time.
Some albums I swear just have a few ms delay between channels... I miss the days of Queen using balance as a musical instrument.

And everyone here knows damn well that Chinese workers get paid much less than US workers, in other words doing FoxConn in a country with higher labor costs would mean that everything would cost a CRAP LOAD more money or it wouldn't get built to begin with.
