Do you have any idea of my presence or absence at the rally? What is that you want to know and say. You seem to have joined recently and started shouting others. With out even knowing the facts don't go crazy..
How many people did you get to todays rally by the way.. Is it more than 100?

i thought of these two colleges which were referred by someone, i assumed that, as these colleges are having so many F1 Indian students (i saw on social networking sites), these would be accredited colleges???????????????????
after seeing ur reply, I realised that there are so many ANNAMALAI universities here!!!!
Do u have any idea, where can we check these college status!!!!
the fees u were referring was for an year or per total studies?
I said for an year approx.....

Hi there,
I submitted a response for similar RFE in march.My attorney just asked me to submit CC statements for that month when I entered US along with an affidavit that passports were checked but not stamped.We did that. My case status changed to ""response received and processing resumed"" after USCIS received the response.
I used to commute accross the border 5 days a week for almost 2 years and my passport was never stamped after the initial entry.
I hope this helps.

I am in the same boat. They are taking way too long to process H1-B extensions.
Its the same with I-140 too. My application has been pending at VSC for 7 months now and no signs of it being transferred to TSC or NSC for processing or if it will be processed at VSC itself. There is no sign of PP starting anytime soon either. It is such a painful situation to be in. Would it be of any help, if we can contact the USCIS Ombudsman???

****** FURTHER UPDATE ON THIS - VERY BIZARRE ******
With regards to my original post below my lawyer got back to me today with something bizarre -
She received a case closure letter from the Backlog center in July 2007 and they sent a copy of the application we had originally filed. In it, the company address has been struck out and another address (70 miles from where we are) was hand written. She faxed me a copy of this and it is nothing short of bizarre. Does DOL actually make changes like this on their own without a confirmation letter from the Company or attorney. I know my attorney would not do such a thing unless we had requested it. Also, the new address was a company (totally different name) that specialized in pool plastering - nothing to do with Computer engineering which is my area. Currently she's placed a call to the backlog center and since they don't answer calls directly we are waiting to hear back from them. Additionally she's writing to them too. Has anyone been in such a situation and can IV help in addressing this with any agency?

My company has been supportive through this process and its only my lawyer whose been horrible.
While part of me wanted to do strangle her, the other part (guessing the sendible part) made me realize I needed to get this resolved.
1. Have any of you been in this situation and had your case reopened and if so, how?
2. Can I change my attorney in this situation and have him/her try to get the case reopened?
Any advice would be much appreciated.

My lawyer says that her status is AOS from nowonwards. Even I can change job, that dosen't cause any issues for her 485, she says. What do you guys think? I want to change job. Also, I have read from some other forum, it would be good to work for the sponsoring company for 6 to 1 year after get the gc.

We were successful in getting good media coverage with flower campaign. Our San Jose rally is getting good regional coverage. Yes, we haven't had the expected success with national media yet but we are gaining traction at an amazing pace.
This is not a big corporation with some PR dept. that is working with hundred of employees writing press releases et al. Volunteers like you and me have to take on that action item if you want to see results otherwise please continue on with your discussion
That is absolutely right, it is our job to write to reporters and call them, if we want good publicity. Please digg, write to reporters, do not just wait on the sidelines and see if we have gotten any coverage. We wont get any by just being on the forums discussing.
On a second note, gsc999 worked very hard organising the San Jose rally, and personally I saw a lot of dedication on his part and some other members. People came upto him and asked him to arrange another rally next week. He answered it very well. Why dont people take ownership and organise things on their own, rather than just giving out suggestions and expecting other people to do the tough work.

This is possible. The gist of the rule is:
Once a I140 has been approved, the PD belongs to the applicant. The only situation when this will not work is if the Labor OR I-140 have been obtained by fraud. This means that even if the company revokes the I-140, the PD stays with you (the applicant).
You will have to first get an I-140 approved with the older priority date (EB3). Once this is done, apply for the second I-140 (EB2) along with documents proving your earlier PD (EB3 labor+ I-140). If all the documents are in order, then the new EB2 I-140 will be approved with the older PD.
Since you are working for the same company, this will be relatively easy since they have all the paperwork. Getting the company to file two I-140s is another matter :)
