I have visitor insurance for my mother who is visiting us. Recently she developed some symptoms. The insurance company told us that since the symptoms were due to a condition that originated while she was in India, it is a pre-existing condition.
My advice to you all is to get a physical checkup for your elderly parents in India once in a while. At least you would know if there are any issues which come with old age and you can take an insurance covering those existing conditions.

I just called Bikareri Baba and asked him about 'Feb VB is out !!!' thread. He said that the thread will die in a week. It will resurrect as 'March VB is out !!!' thread after a month with a life span of 1 week.

Go to their website and look for consitutent services. Utilize their services ONLY if your's is a genuine problem and follow their instructions - write clearly what your problem is and what kind of help you are expecting. Spome of them are very helpful - they stay on top of the case till they get you a written decision

As per my research and talking to customer service of few american and india insurance companies, You are partly right that no one covers pre-existing conditions.
But indian companies like Icici lombard, Bajaj allianz, tata aig etc cover emergency life saving treatment even if it was due to the pre-existing conditions. Which means if one is diabetic, reguler sugar check and doc vists will not be covered but if say patients develops a critical condition (e.g kideny failure etc) then the treatment is covered.
But american companies do not cover even the emergency treatment.

In the interests of fairness, you should also air the counter-views while providing coverage to such strong one-sided views. This would provide a balanced coverage to your viewers.
In the absence of such unbiased coverage, Mr. Dobbs verbal attacks may provoke physical attacks against foreigners as well as any foreign-looking persons by misguided elements provoked by your show. Hi Friends,
I checked my status and havent received any Soft LUD, but I received a FP notice couple of days back. I am not sure what this is for..My PD is Dec 2006 (EB3) and I received EAD/AP/I140 approved. I applied concurrently during the july fiasco and already done with FP on 2007 itself.
Now i am surprised why I need to , go for FP again. I am still in H1 and my EAD is expired and havent renewed.
Can anyone shed some light in to this FP notice ???

So public schools Elem/Middle/High , still have to go thru nornal H1B process for teachers, have to wait for OCT1, start date.
School is non-profit organization that is exempt from H1B quota. Correct me if I am wrong.

I believe, the best and safest way to disseminate such important information is through state chapters. I know what you are getting at when suggesting that we should be open about our needs and goals .... The strategic vision is pretty much laid out by the core and is clear enough for the general public (I think) ...

I would say ignore. If the hosts dont even use 'controversial' to describe him it's pointless trying to call in - its going to be an 'immigrant hate-fest' whether you call in or not and you are not going to win hearts or change minds. I remember 4 or 5 years ago he was raging against the H1 on air as usual and turned around to his staff and asked if CNN too was using the H1program - and the answer unsurprisingly was 'yes'. He has no sense of shame or a modicum of decency - none of his staff members either. And IV is ill-positioned and too narrowly focussed to take him on in any meaningful way given how a core member spoke against the z-visa (for illegals) to some n.carolina newspaper. But again I could be wrong so someone could give it a shot

IV managed to fight its way through the July visa bulleting fiasco and compelled the USCIS to honor the original bulletin. Even after witnessing such a huge achievement if some people are making comments like they would like to weigh IV's worth before deciding to make contributions then they can be classified as perennial skeptics.

We may be angry, but let us not use bad word for him. He is doing his job and earning his bread and butter! I have heard him using very strong language against government and administration - I don't think he is against anything but he has to do certain things to maintain the popularity of his show among middle class Americans (after all it is all business!).
